In accordance with the UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2012, published in gazette of India on 19th January 2023 and UGC Letter No. D.O. No. F.1-1/2016(Secy) dated 29-01-2016, the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC), Durgapur Government College is constituted towards ensuring that students from diverse communal, regional and religious spectrums are able to access our pedagogical infrastructures and extra-curricular resources with dignity and self-respect. We aim at promoting diversity and inclusivity within and without the college. The EOC seeks to attain holistic wellbeing of all students and ensure that there is no discrimination in the college on grounds of disability or minority status. We intend to look after the students from SC, ST and OBC categories, persons from minority religions, and outstation students who have enrolled for higher education in our college.
