On 13th August 2026, Durgapur Government College proudly organized a peaceful student rally and brief street‑corner programs under the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative to commemorate Independence Day. The rally, covering a 1 km route from the College Main Gate to Amarabati Corner, was held from 12:00 PM to 13:30 PM and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 300 students and 30 teachers. Through the rally and awareness activities near the college, the program sought to promote national pride and civic awareness, inspiring the academic community to uphold the spirit of patriotism and unity.
