Event Report Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan
Organized by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) in collaboration with Durgapur Government College
On 2nd August 2026, Durgapur Government College proudly hosted the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan”, a campaign dedicated to building a generation that is healthy, responsible, and free from the harmful grip of addiction. The programme was organized under the aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) and witnessed the active participation of 18 students and volunteers.
Theme: Gen Z Against Addiction
The central theme of the programme, “Gen Z Against Addiction”, highlighted the urgent need to empower youth to reject substance abuse and embrace healthy lifestyles. Addiction not only harms individuals but also weakens families, communities, and ultimately hampers national development.
Role of NSS Volunteers
The National Service Scheme (NSS), with its motto “Not Me, But You”, was emphasized as a guiding force for selfless service, discipline, empathy, and social responsibility. NSS volunteers were encouraged to become ambassadors of positive change by:
– Spreading awareness about the dangers of substance abuse
– Supporting peers who may need help
– Promoting healthy and responsible living
