LABORATORIES
Durgapur Government College offers undergraduate programmes in five laboratory based subjects, namely, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and Zoology, post-graduate and Ph.D. programmes in Chemistry, Conservation Biology and Applied Geology. There are total 16 laboratories in the institution which include 1 botany laboratory, 5 chemistry laboratories, 2 conservation biology laboratories, 2 geology laboratories, 4 physics laboratories and 2 zoology laboratories. In addition to the laboratories, the institution also has a Geology Museum and Zoology Specimen Room. Procurement of equipment for these laboratories done through the funds received from Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, DBT Star College Scheme of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Rashtriya Uchchatara Shiksha Abhiyan.
