Research Centre

  • The institution was affiliated to The University of Burdwan since its inception to June 23, 2015. Department of Conservation Biology was recognized research study centre  under the University of Burdwan
  • Six research scholars of Department of Conservation Biology, Durgapur Government College were awarded Ph.D. by The University of Burdwan under the sole supervision of Dr. Debnath Palit, the then faculty member of Department of Botany, Durgapur Government College
  • Subsequently, the institution became affiliated to Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol since June 24, 2015. The institution received approval from Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol to offer Ph.D. programme in Conservation Biology in the academic session 2020-21
  • Presently, total 21 research scholars are enrolled/registered for Ph.D. programme in Conservation Biology
